Summer Immersive Workshop: Art and Environment (event)

Get up close with art and nature!

Join fellow educators at the North Carolina Museum of Art to examine the concept of environment. Using the galleries and Museum Park, educators explore how artists use the natural world as material, subject, and inspiration. Learn from Heather Gordon, whose work is featured in You Are Here: Light, Color, and Sound Experiences, and Jennifer Landin, who teaches biological illustration as an associate professor of teaching in the Department of Biological Sciences at North Carolina State University.

Much of this program will take place in the 164-acre Museum Park; participants should expect exposure to the elements and walking. A Certificate of Participation for 10 hours will be provided (1.0 CEU credit, with prior approval from the local school system).
