Hazem el Mestikawy (artist)

Born in Egypt in 1965, Hazem el Mestikawy was raised in upper Egypt and currently lives and works between Cairo and Vienna. He received a BA in art education and culture at Menya University in Egypt, and has been active in the Cairo art community as well as in central Europe (particularly Austria, Germany, and Switzerland) in various capacities as writer, lecturer, and professor, all the while remaining very active as a sculptor.
