Workshop: Bringing the Zine to the Classroom (event)

Photo: Tristin Miller

This is a workshop for educators that introduces them to the zine ( pronounced zeen), the history of the form, and how it can be used in the classroom to explore any topic and engage students in a meaningful and creative way. All participants make a zine from start to finish based on their exploration of the NCMA’s collection. This workshop is led by Tristin Miller, zinester and founder of the Greensboro Zine Fest, which is an event that emphasizes educating and celebrating zine culture. Participants are eligible to receive .2 CEU upon approval of their local school system.
