Online Course: Art and Science (January-April 2026) (event)

Explore connections between art and science through five topics, including observation practices, physics, and ecology.  Participants gain valuable classroom connections through inquiry-based learning in an online community. The course is self-paced, and each topic should take around three hours to complete (15 hours for the entire course). The course is available January 27 through April 7.

  • Art and Systems
  • Art and Physics
  • Art and Ecology
  • Art and Nature

The course is aligned with the K–8 North Carolina Standard Course of Study for Visual Art and Science. It is open to educators of all disciplines and audiences. The course can provide a certificate of participation for up to 15 hours if all five topics are completed (0.3–1.5 CEU, with approval from your local school system).
