Indigenous Art in the Classroom (event)

Join us for a morning of making with NC Indigenous artists. Come learn from the artists and be inspired to incorporate new ideas into your classroom! This half-day workshop will be divided into two portions: a discussion of how to discuss Indigenous art in your classroom with Vibrina Coronado and a hands-on basket making session with Cindy Locklear. This program takes place on the same day as the NC Indigenous Artist Festival which will feature additional opportunities to engage with Indigenous arts and culture. A certificate of participation for 2.5 hours will be provided (.25 CEU, with approval from the local school system).
