NCMA Educator Expo (event)

How does what we make reflect our culture? How do we get students to think critically about the times they live in? Join us for an evening of immersive learning experiences. This annual event is targeted for educators of all levels and disciplines as well as teaching artists and others interested in learning through the arts.

This year, explore how the Ebony Fashion Fair made fashion accessible to a broader audience and redefined concepts of beauty, fashion, and empowerment for African Americans. Discover the NCMA’s newly installed African art gallery and the interactive hands-on space Threads of Experience. Create your own wearable art using recycled materials. Learn about opportunities for your students and your own professional development through a resource fair featuring the NCMA and other organizations.

Price includes a drink ticket, hors d’oeuvres, activities, and admission to Inspiring Beauty. Additional beverages are available for purchase.

Use the hashtag #NCMAlearn to share your photos taken at the event.
