Educator Workshop: Observing Art and Environment through Audubon’s Birds (event)

This workshop investigates the new installation of Audubon’s The Birds of America and the Museum Park as sources for exploring the relationship between art and environment. Learn about Audubon from Joseph Covington, former director of education and Museum Park curator at the NCMA, and make “birdfolios” with art educator Charlene Bowling. Open to educators from all grade levels and subject areas. .5 CEU will be available based on prior approval of your local school system.

Participants will spend time outside and engage in birdwatching as part of this workshop. A limited number of binoculars will be provided, so you are encouraged to bring a pair if you have them.
