Anne Lemanski (artist)
About
Anne Lemanski grew up in rural Michigan and currently resides in North Carolina. In 1992, she graduated from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Lemanski’s work is held in the collections of the North Carolina Museum of Art, Asheville Art Museum, U.S. Department of State’s Art in Embassies Collection, and by the Imperial Centre for the Arts and Sciences in Rocky Mount, as well as numerous private collections.
In her art, Lemanski says that she is very interested in nature versus man, how we are connected, and how an imbalance in the natural world creates a domino effect which touches everyone, man and beast. Her work is striking and visually appealing, with a lightness of touch that balances the serious content.
