About the North Carolina Museum of Art

The NCMA’s free permanent collection spans more than 5,000 years, from ancient Egypt to the present, and its 164-acre Museum Park showcases the connection between art and nature through site-specific works of environmental art. The Museum offers ticketed special exhibitions throughout the year, along with classes, lectures, family activities, films, concerts, and more. We invite interactions among diverse communities, foster collaborative partnerships, and seek to activate the creative potential in everyone.

Accessibility

Everyone is welcome at the North Carolina Museum of Art.

The Museum seeks to make its collection and information available to all. We work consistently with local partners to gather information on accessibility needs, provide staff training, and increase web accessibility. Sign up for our bi-monthly newsletter to be connected to these efforts and receive news resources and upcoming events.

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of NCMALearn. Please let us know if you encounter accessibility barriers by contacting Felicia Ingram, Manager of Interpretation, Accessibility, and Diversity or visit our main website.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. NCMALearn is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
