Museum Objects in Augmented Reality (NCMA Explore Resource)

Bring our ancient collections into your own space using Augmented Reality (AR).

View museum objects in 3D on your mobile device using the Zappar app. Zoom in, rotate, and interact with hotspots to learn more about each object. Downloadable (.stl) files are available to print objects in your classroom using a 3D printer.

NCMA Explore 3D objects may also be viewed in your web browser using Sketchfab.

To access the AR experience on a mobile device:

• Download Zappar from the App Store
• Launch Zappar once downloaded
• Use the scanner built into the app to scan the ‘Zapcode’ below. 
• Use the map menu to navigate between collections and access individual objects.
