Special Opportunity: Online Minicourses on Art and Science (event)

The North Carolina Museum of Art is offering a special session of our Art and Science minicourses for free. Priority will be given to the first 50 active North Carolina teachers to register.

La NCMA ofrece a los educadores una serie de minicursos sobre las conexiones entre el arte y la ciencia. Los participantes exploran temas a través del aprendizaje basado en la investigación en una comunidad en línea mientras obtienen valiosas conexiones en el aula.

Each course is divided into three sections: Explore the Topic, Try Something New, and Share What You Think. In Explore the Topic, you will be introduced to new concepts, tools, and works of art to stimulate thinking and help you begin making connections between art and science. In Try Something New, we ask you to do some legwork to more deeply engage with the content and we introduce you to an artistic process. The Share What You Think section is exactly what it sounds like– sharing reflections and classroom ideas with your course colleagues so that you can maximize the benefits you receive from the course.

Los cursos están alineados con el Curso Estándar de Estudio de Artes Visuales y Ciencias de Carolina del Norte para K-8. Están abiertos a educadores de todas las disciplinas y públicos. Cada curso puede proporcionar un certificado de participación de 3 horas, y hasta 15 horas si se completan los cinco cursos. (0,3-1,5 CEU, con la aprobación de su sistema escolar local).
