What to Expect
During Your Virtual Field Trip
What you'll see
During your Zoom meeting, your facilitator will share images and videos, and ask your students questions to get them to look carefully and make connections.
Your facilitator will:
- be able to see and hear your classroom,
- share images on the screen, and
- ask students questions about what they see in the images.
Your students will:
- look carefully,
- share their thoughts verbally (when called on),
- use what they see to support their ideas,
- connect with museum objects and with each other,
- listen carefully when others are speaking, and
- be respectful of new ideas and perspectives
You, the teacher will:
- call on students to answer your facilitator’s questions,
- repeat student responses if audio is a problem, and
- help to manage classroom volume and behavior so that everyone is heard
What you'll do
A class gathers close to their projection system, raising hands and waiting to be called on by their teacher.
