The Thing in the Window (Story)

The author of this post is perplexed by the mysterious thing in the window in Georgia O’Keeffe‘s 1945 oil painting Cebolla Church. A painting of an adobe church in Cebolla, New Mexico, the deadpan, matter of fact image seems unremarkable except for a strange object in the left window.
